Materials (for 1 cup of Hand SANITIZEr)
¾ cup 99% Isopropyl Alcohol
¼ cup Aloe Vera Gel
(optional, for scent) 10 drops Essential Oil OR Lemon Juice
Step 1: Pour All Ingredients Into a Container
Pour the isopropyl alcohol and aloe vera gel into a container that is easy to pour from and stir in, such as a glass measuring container. For a more preferred scent, add the essential oil or lemon juice. Lavender essential oil is common for this hand sanitizer. Note that essential oils may be an irritant to some sensitive skin.
step 2: Mix to form HOMOGENEOUS gel
The recommended method to properly and easily mix is to first mix with a spoon, then beat with a whisk until a homogeneous gel is formed.
Step 3: Pour Mixture into a container
Pour the ingredients into your desired dispensing bottles. A common preference is this set of travel size squeeze bottles.
Step 4: Use Your New Hand Sanitizer!
Keep a bottle in your car, purse, and anything else you or your loved ones may travel with. One of the best ways to combat this virus is to keep your hands clean.
